15 bands – Lumi, Inborn, Angel At My Table, FunkyP, Eternal Tango, Pendulum, Biffy Clyro, Paramore, Ghinzu, Jan Delay, Deftones, Gossip, Kasabian, 30 Seconds To Mars and The Prodigy – 13 hours of non-stop live music, 18.000 fans and 30 degrees in the shade. This pretty much sums up the 5th Rock-A-Field music festival in Roeser, Luxembourg. Have a look at my favourite pictures after the jump!

Vampire Weekend @ Rockhal, 17/06

Vampire Weekend were 2008’s big pop discovery. With their New York rock spiced up with African ingredients, they turned the music business upside down from the moment they released their first, eponymous album. The public and the critics hailed them and today, they’re back with their new album “Contra”, which will finally establish them as one the most important bands of the last decade. Taylor Hawkins @ The Brook Southampton, 08/06

As the Foo Fighters are taking a break from their grueling tour schedule, drummer Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders are on the road with their second album ‘Red Light Fever’. Enlisting the aid from Elliot Easton of The Cars, Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, and Hawkins’ best friend Dave Grohl, the rock band is currently unveiling their latest creations at some major festivals throughout Europe. I had the chance to see them perform here in Southampton at a warm-up show and took a few pictures…
