Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is a three-piece garage-rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1998. Now based in Los Angeles, the guys released their sixth studio album ‘Beat The Devil’s Tattoo’ last month and are currently touring the EU. I caught up with BRMC at our university venue here in Southampton and was pleasantly surprised not only by their new songs but also by the lighting, which was quite abundant considering that overseas photographers had to fight “with roving spots and a majority of the show taking place in relative darkness” (Todd Owyoung).
