After a sell out UK tour in early January, alternative dance band Delphic played at the sold out venue of the University of Southampton yesterday night. The band currently tours the UK for a second time, their debut album “Acolyte” being more successful than expected. I really enjoyed the 60 minutes show but, with no spots from the front and strobes as the main light source, it was quite challenging to photograph!

American singer-songwriter, poet, and violinist Emilie Autumn performed songs from her “Opheliac” album yesterday at the O2 Academy in Bounrnemouth as part of her “The Asylum Tour: The Key” tour through Europe and Australia. The Los Angeles-born starlet’s theatrical stage show is a sexy circus of glam-rock burlesque, backed by a scantily-clad girl band known as the Bloody Crumpets.
As Emilie Autumn herself explains: “I learnt to walk in the back stages of theatres and opera houses, amongst the beautiful chaos of costume changes, circus performers, sweaty ballerinas, dripping make-up, and far too much glitter. Then, I went mad and was locked up. This is simply what it sounds like inside my head. ‘Opheliac’ is my ‘mad scene’.”
