You could say that Primal Scream (“Can’t Go Back”) is an old hand in the alternative rock music business as the group formed in 1982. However, the band changed their line-up and music style as much as the only constant element in its history is frontman Bobby Gillespie. From psychedelic, classic, dance and electronic rock music, Primal Scream now places the emphasis on pop rock beats.

The “Entente des Syndicats d’Initiatives Du Nord” was happy to present the first open-air Sun ‘n’ Moon Festival at Clerf. 11 bands rocked from noon till midnight near the famous white castle. British indie band The Wombats (“Let’s Dance To Joy Division”, “Moving To New York”) headlined the event. Despite the warm and sunny weather, only hard-bitten concertgoers made it to the North End of Luxembourg but the crowd and bands definitely had a great time.

Yesterday started the 14th edition of the E-Lake Festival, an open air party at the lake of Echternach with a huge dancefloor with 10.000 people capacity, showcasing live concerts, live-acts and DJ sets. 8 bands were on parade, the headliner being Polarkreis 18, a German pop band. Here a quick selection of photos of my favourite acts. Enjoy!
